Salary £21,000 - £23,000 (depending on experience)

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading set of barristers’ chambers in London. Our client is highly ranked by Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 for the area of work that the barristers in the chambers undertake.

The Assistant Administrator will report to the Chambers Administrator and will be responsible for the smooth running of Chambers both of a day-to-day basis and in the longer term.

The summary of duties are as follows:

  • Property and Facilities

  • Finance Administration

  • General Administration

  • Marketing/Event and Seminars

Person specification


  • Be highly organised, methodical, adaptable and able to proactively manage multiple tasks and schedules

  • Trustworthy and able to exercise tact and diplomacy in an organisational setting

  • Good levels of IT skills, including Microsoft word, Excel and Power point

  • Ability to work unsupervised on regular tasks and ensure they are completed on time

  • Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, clients and members of chambers over the telephone, by email and in person

  • A calm, patient approach along with a professional outlook and attitude

  • Neatness, accuracy and high attention to detail


  • Experience in administrative work

This role has a salary expectation of between £21,000 and £23,000 per annum (dependent on experience), with 20 days holiday pa, plus bank holidays.

This role is based in Chambers and the hours of work are 09.00 – 17.30hrs Monday to Friday
