Junior Clerk

Our client is an award-winning, leading regional chambers with national reach and a reputation for excellence.
Chambers is currently seeking a clerk with 2-3 years’ experience to join their practice management team. Whilst the successful candidate will join the family team, experience in this area is not essential.
The role encompasses day-to-day diary, case and fee management, individual practice development with members as well as contributing towards chambers’ overall business plan.
The ideal candidate will have experience of diary management and planning, from booking in hearings and instructions to ensuring timely delivery of briefs and negotiating brief fees. They will also have knowledge of case management from point of instruction to case conclusion, such as fair allocation of work, managing deadlines and inbound documents, and the timely recording of hours (LEX).
The successful candidate will be actively involved in members’ practice development, for example they will assist with practice review meetings and follow-up work. At a chambers level, they will be able to demonstrate the ability to cultivate and enhance relationships with solicitors and identify marketing opportunities in line with barristers’ and chambers’ business development objectives.
