Advocates Clerk Vacancy
Salary between £25,000 and £30,000 per annum

Our client is a well-established and well-regarded Legal 500/Chambers ranked Law firm in WC1 specialising in Commercial and Residential Property, Crime, Wills, Family, Immigration and Civil Litigation.
A vacancy has arisen within the specialist criminal department, which has an impressive history of dealing with serious and high profile cases. The department is able to deal with the full range of criminal matters and undertakes motoring work.
The firm have established in-house Advocates and the firm require a Clerk to provide assistance with Diary Management, Clerking services and general assistance to all Fee Earners in the Department.
The role is equivalent to a Barrister’s Clerk post in chambers, but the difference is that the role encompasses some of the activities carried out in Law firms as well as in Barristers’ Chambers.
This is a full-time post – 5 days per week, and the candidates must be highly organised and extremely personable individuals, and have sufficient relevant previous experience to be able to manage the practices of Advocates within the firm, with a comprehensive knowledge of procedures and listing of cases and awareness of current fee regimes.
Relevant clerking in chambers experience of not less than 5 years, gained in another chambers practicing in Criminal Law is essential. A full Job Description is available on request from Chambers People.
