Post room assistant required

Leading London Barristers’ Chambers

Salary c £22,000 per annum

Our client is a busy barristers’ chambers based in London who now seek a Post Room Assistant for help with the administration tasks necessary for the smooth operation of the chambers.


The successful candidate will report to the Post Room Manager and will be required to undertake general duties to support members of chambers in their work which will include:


  • Delivering post, documents and urgent items to barristers, clients and courts

  • Assist barristers down to court on time, carrying files, books and papers

  • Manage despatch of post to Royal Mail and Document Exchange by 6.00pm daily

  • Prepare bundles of authorities for court, photocopying and filing cases as requested

  • Collecting, packaging and returning papers to clients

  • Escort clients to conferences

  • Purchase sandwiches and prepare tea/coffee when required

  • Facilities support e.g. changing light bulbs moving furniture

  • Perform other general administrative duties as required by clerks and the chief executive
