First Junior / Deputy to the Senior Clerk

Our client is a leading London chambers specialising in criminal law, with 45 members including QC’s.


Our client is now seeking candidates for a First Junior Clerk role, following a recent staff reorganisation.

The successful candidate will ideally have around 7 - 10 years’ relevant experience gained in another chambers where the work is mainly Crime and Fraud, will have comprehensive knowledge of Criminal Law procedures and will report to the Senior Practice Manager.

The remuneration for the post will depend on experience offered.

The duties for the role will include:

  • Diary and Practice Management in conjunction with more senior staff

  • Negotiating Fees for privately funded work by the barristers

  • Business Development in conjunction with the chambers’ marketing strategy

  • Supervising more junior staff
