First Junior Clerk – Civil

We are a leading common law Chambers and seek to recruit a First Junior civil clerk. The Applicant should:

  • Have not less than 6 years’ experience as a civil clerk.

  • Be ambitious, well organised and motivated.

  • Have excellent communication skills.

  • Expect to work closely with the civil group in Chambers, the Senior Clerk, and Chambers’ professional clients.

The Role

  • Diary management.

  • Fee negotiation.

  • Promote practice development and management of the civil group.

  • Efficient and timely data entry to case management systems.

  • Attendance at chambers’ promotional functions.

The Applicant should demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Imaginative and pro-active in developing the civil group individually and collectively.

  • Client-focused with a clear understanding of what this means.

  • Fully conversant with the Microsoft Office suite of programmes.

  • A strong team player, able to communicate effectively at multiple levels.

  • Able to manage competing deadlines and prioritise effectively.

 

Salary: depending on experience in the region of £35,000.
