Barristers’ Clerk required

Salary between £30,000 and £40,000

Our client is an innovative chambers that provides law firms with a modern alternative to the traditional chambers model, providing advocacy and litigation support, with a strong advocacy team.
Chambers is now seeking a candidate to expand the clerking team that manages the work of the team. The role is equivalent to a mid-range Clerk post in a barristers’ chambers, and comes with a good salary, benefits, and prospects for career progression.
The role will be based at the office in Liverpool, but with hybrid working arrangements.
With diary and practice management duties just like in a traditional chambers, this role also encompasses some of the activities that would usually be carried out in traditional Law Firms as well as in Barristers Chambers, such as reporting on management information and production of board packs for review and consideration at board meetings.
This is a full-time post and the candidates must be highly organised and extremely personable individuals and have sufficient relevant previous experience to be able manage the practices of the Barristers, Advocates, and other members of the team within chambers, with a comprehensive knowledge of procedures and listing of cases and awareness of current fee regimes.
Relevant clerking in chambers experience of not less than 4 years, gained in another chambers is essential. A full job description and further details about remuneration available on request.
